The year 2020 was an atypical vintage on the Mediterranean rim. While the winter of 2020 was mild with relatively abundant rainfall and very welcome after the drought. Many vines in the Var froze. On the island with temperatures of + 1°C, the vines resumed their winter dormancy.
The summer was hot but we were lucky enough to have some good rainfall which allowed the bunches to swell and ripen quietly. The harvest was particularly early and the choice of harvest dates was complicated by this original heterogeneity and by a slight exogenous stress on the island of Covid...
However, with the meticulous work in the cellar, the solidarity of the volunteers and the valour of the community, we are very satisfied with the quality of the vintage, with a freshness and a beautiful aromatic complexity.

Tasting notes :
A garnet colour with purple highlights adorns this cuvée. The first deep and greedy nose takes us on a journey, with reminiscences of cherry, fig, liquorice and leather intermingling. The ample attack quickly switches to a freshness balanced by an opulent tannic structure, whose generosity is matched only by its finesse.
The persistence of this aromatics oriented on morello cherry, plum and a subtle note of venison. The climax is a generous, round and suave finish.
