Cuvée St Césaire vintage 2023

The Saint Césaire 2023 cuvée produced around 2,000 bottles from a 0.52 ha parcel of Chardonnay. Organic viticulture is practised on a deep clay and dolomite terroir. The grapes are harvested in the morning in August, pressed and then fermented at low temperature for 27 days in casks and stainless steel vats. Maturing on the lees for 10 months in barrel refines its roundness.

Saint Césaire 2023 has a golden colour with silvery tints and is an invitation to taste. The nose is a harmony of sweet peach, grapefruit and brioche. On the palate, this lively nectar quickly gives way to a smooth, silky fullness. The palate is filled with buttery notes complemented by a hint of broom flowers and sweet spices. The finish is round and exceptionally long.
