An intense and brilliant purple color with purple reflections adorns this Saint Honorat. A first nose of raspberry, blackberry and green pepper reveals a complex aroma that is found on the palate, carried by a beautiful acidity and an intense tannic structure.
This great wine shows all its potential for ageing and leaves a suave finish and a beautiful persistence.

The year 2021 was a demanding vintage in the Mediterranean region and for France in many ways. While the winter of 2021 was mild with little rainfall. We had a cold snap when the first vines had already budded.
Many vines in the Var region froze for the second year in a row. This led to some intra-cellular heterogeneity. The spring had some good rains, which helped us but forced us to be very vigilant and to accelerate vegetative growth between sun and rain.
From May 15th to the end of September, the vineyard did not get a drop of rain. Only 40mm in 5 months, that's very little. No big heat but the vine suffered from the lack of water.
The harvest was early and the choice of harvest dates was complicated by the heterogeneity and the hydric stress and localized maturity blockages. However, with careful work in the cellar, we are satisfied with the quality of the vintage, with a freshness and a beautiful aromatic complexity.
