Pinot Noir, like Chardonnay, is a grape variety that originated in the Burgundy and Champagne regions (Côtes de Nuit).
Unlike Chardonnay, it has been exported relatively little to the so-called "New World" regions.
The terroir of the island of Saint Honorat is suitable for producing high quality Pinot Noir.
The Abbey of Lérins has deliberately opted for innovation. This new cuvée produces a wine that is both fine and complex. Unique and singular, the Saint Eucher cuvée is made from young Pinot Noir grapes, which gives it freshness and roundness.

Tasting notes by our cellar master
Vintage 2020
A delicate carmine colour with ruby hues adorns this cuvée. The first nose is brilliant. Intense aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and a hint of green pepper. Worn to the lips, this fine beverage reveals a delight of fleshy fruits, a greedy freshness and supple tannins matured under the Mediterranean sun, a tribute to the distant Burgundian hillsides sublimated by the Cistercian monks.
