A garnet colour with purple highlights adorns this cuvée. The first deep and greedy nose takes us on a journey, with reminiscences of cherry, fig, liquorice and leather intermingling. The ample attack quickly switches to a freshness balanced by an opulent tannic structure, whose generosity is matched only by its finesse.
The persistence of this aromatics oriented on morello cherry, plum and a subtle note of venison. The climax is a generous, round and suave finish.

Tasting notes :
The year 2021 was a demanding vintage around the Mediterranean and for France in many respects. While the winter of 2021 was mild with little precipitation. We had a cold snap when the first vines had already budded.
Many vines in the Var have frozen for the second consecutive year. This led to a certain intra-plot heterogeneity. Spring had some good rains, which helped us but forced us to be very vigilant and to accelerate vegetative growth between sun and rain.
From May 15 until the end of September, the vines never had a drop of rain. Only 40mm in 5 months is very little. No big heat but the vine suffered from the lack of water.
The harvest was early and the choice of harvest dates was complicated by heterogeneity and water stress and localized blockages in maturity. However, with meticulous work in the cellar, we are satisfied with the quality of the vintage, with freshness and a beautiful aromatic complexity.
